ABOUT US

Bibliophile. Book Nut. A Reader of Everything ...

Call me a Book Nerd, but books have always been a love and sincere interest since I was a tiny tot. As a child, books helped me escape to magical places, other planets, or float down the Mississippi with Huck Finn. As a result, I have always been an avid reader of whatever my childish hands could grab.

For all the avid readers out there, perhaps you can relate too. It was easy for me to retreat to the library and hide in a book as a new kid in school. As a teen, I was a librarian assistant, enjoying my time among books and helping students find what they needed.

As a child, I also wanted to be an artist and writer of children's books. As an adult, I often will gravitate to the kid's section in a book store or library to see what is new. Yet, I still love the illustrations and fun stories. I have met both those childish aspirations as a fine artist and a novelist.

However, we readers don't always get the time we want. For example, in the episode of the Twilight Zone, "All the Time in the World," where the bookish bank teller locks himself away in the bank vault to read on his break, then a nuclear bomb hits. As far as he knows, he is the only one alive among a world of library books for his reading pleasure. Then the ultimate twist of fate, he breaks his eyeglasses. Oh, the horror of it all.

So for some of us, there isn't always all the time in the world to catch up and read everything we want. Or one somehow missed volumes or books in a series. Biblio.com and Garden of Bliss Books help to fill those gaps or to sell off your books. The internet has replaced many of those dusty old book stores that many of us haunted (or still do), looking for an elusive book or one whispering our name to purchase it.

Bliss Books will always try to offer books in excellent condition, new or gently used so that they might have a long life in a new home. But, on occasion, some are over-loved and well-used, a bit tattered, and as book experts might cheekily describe it, "A reader's copy" or "poor scholar's copy." Those conditions will always be marked.

This is a new business, and since there is little room to store massive amounts of books, I may not have everything you are looking for. But Bliss Books might help you find a copy. Please go to Biblio.com or other internet-used book e-retailers.

Check this site's other pages and do return for more information as this business and site will grow.

Thanks for your interest and visit! See you soon!

You may wonder about the cats all over these pages. Libraries and bookstores need at least one cat. While it is fun for them to lie about all day and be petted by customers and kids, what happens at night is magical. Another world opens for adventure in a library. And that is another story ...
